Home to two award-winning beaches, Bridlington North and South Beach are divided by the historic harbour and combines scenic beauty with excellent facilities.
Take a day out from Skirlington Coast and discover independent shops, great entertainment and beautiful beaches. No visit to the town is complete without a stroll along the Edwardian promenade – one of our top things to do in Yorkshire!
Surrounded by a beautifully restored Edwardian promenade, Bridlington North is the perfect place to take some air and enjoy a relaxing stroll with unforgettable coastal views.
There are so many things to do! Ride in style on the land train, enjoy fairground rides or sit back and enjoy the bustle of the busy harbour. We also wholeheartedly recommend visiting a seafront café for a sweet or salty snack.
If you fancy a bit of culture, head to Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Just twenty minutes from the beach, this Georgian country house has a zoo, a museum and beautiful landscaped gardens.
With over 1.5km of golden sands, Bridlington South is a more peaceful alternative with vast views across the Bay. With plenty of space for paddling in the sea, sunbathing, playing beach games and building sandcastles, it’s the perfect spot for a family day out in Yorkshire!
Holidaymakers who want to keep active will love the GoSpike beach volleyball courts and table tennis tables. Plus, the paddling pool next to the beach chalets on the South Promenade is a great safe option for little ones.
Public toilets and cafes are within walking distance from the South Beach and the town and harbour are only a 10-minute walk away.
Beach chalets are available to hire for the day at both beaches. Chalets come stocked with deckchairs, patio chairs, electricity and access to a water tap. Perfect for a bit of comfort or simply a place to store all your beach gear!
Bridlington Beach North is also dog-friendly all year-round beyond the coastguard station – but there are some restrictions to the south over the summer from 1 October until 31 April.
Bridlington North and south are both patrolled by RNLI lifeguards but remember to always be aware of your surroundings and check local notices for important safety information.
The legendary Bridlington Spa will transport you back to the British seaside holidays of old. A magnet for world class talent, there’s always a dazzling programme filled with the best in music, drama and comedy. If you want to join in the fun, there are regular dancing nights in the classic 1930s Royal Hall Ballroom.
