Walks and wheels

For those with itchy feet, the Yorkshire Wolds is full of beautiful walks and trails. The Yorkshire Wolds Way is a 79-mile route – but don’t worry, you don’t have to tackle the whole thing! There are circular walks around Thixendale, Millington and South Cave.

And if you prefer a bike, the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route is a 146-mile loop through gentle countryside, villages and along the coast.

Grand homes and gardens 

For a slice of culture, there are plenty of gardens, stately homes and heritage sites to visit during a day out in the Yorkshire Wolds. Explore the glorious Georgian Sledmere House and gardens, or perhaps the unique Burnby Hall Gardens, plus many more.
