Trails for days

Be sure to bring along your walking boots!. The Cleveland Way National Trail is a breath-taking path that meanders through the moors for 109-miles. Don’t worry, you can explore stretches of the trail as short day-walks in Yorkshire.

Scenic spots like Rosedale, Farndale (famous for its carpets of daffodils in Spring) and Newtondale are worth visiting too

Wonderful Whitby

Filled with history and culture, Whitby is a great day out in the North York Moors. Did you know that Whitby Abbey was the inspiration for Dracula?

It can be found perched high on the cliffs above Whitby harbour. Explore the quaint old town, the famous 199 steps and head to the harbour for some fresh seafood.

Iconic views  

A ride on the famous steam railway from Pickering is a must-do. One of the greatest world heritage railway experiences, you’ll be treated to glorious cross-valley views and get to see the North Yorkshire moors in an unforgettable way. You may also recognise Goathland Station as Hogsmeade Station from Harry Potter!

Forest days out  

If you fancy a bit of adventure, why not head to Dalby Forest for a day out with the family. There are plenty of cycling trails, walking routes and even a few cafes scattered around.
